Comic Con Festival 6-7 August 2022
Dublin Comic Con returns to the Convention Centre Dublin on 6 and 7 August 2022, with cosplay, interactive sets, traders, guests and panels.
Comic Con Festival 2022 is just around the corner! Held at the Convention Centre Dublin on 6 and 7 August 2022, Dublin Comic Con is billed as Ireland's biggest pop culture event of the year. This fandom event is perfect for the whole family. It offers the chance to get your hands on collectables, meet stars from film and television and much more.
Interaction, sets and cosplay
With so much to do, you will want to get there early. This year sees interactive sets where you can step into your favourite show or film, and they make great photo backdrops for your cosplay. The Cosplay Village will showcase costumes and cosplay guests, with a costume repair station and free photo backdrops. Sign up for the costume contest if you want your work to be seen.
Traders from all over Europe are expected, with a wide range of memorabilia, from high-quality figures to comic books and plushies, so you can get your hands on some sought-after items. Perhaps you can have them signed by the guests and creators themselves? You can also support independent artists who will be selling their work. There will be escape rooms, virtual reality, 360 cameras and more.
Meet your heroes
Comic Con will have a host of guests and experts holding panels on everything from special effects and cosplay to game development, and of course the stars of the shows. If you have ever had a burning question about how a superhero shoots fire without burning himself, or how zombies keep going for so long, this is your chance.
Tips for your visit
- Buy tickets in advance through the official website and check the opening times.
- Bring cash and a card for traders, and a bag for your purchases.
- If you are in cosplay, check the rules on props before you go.
- Wear comfortable shoes, bring water and plan a few breaks.
